The Lineage
Bob Toski
Bob Toski was the most famous — and original — touch teacher of the modern era, and he was Gary’s only teacher. Together, the two conducted clinics and opened the first golf learning center in America, then spent many years teaching around the world side by side.

Two brothers, two instruments, one obsession with touch.
While Gary was building a life around the feel of a golf swing, his brother Edmund Battersby was doing the same thing at the piano. A Juilliard-trained concert pianist and longtime faculty member at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, Edmund performed at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, and Lincoln Center — building a career on the same idea that anchors Learn Touch Golf: that mastery isn’t mechanical, it’s felt.
